Webinar on WETLANDS & LIVELIHOOD



Teerthanker Mahaveer University's Institution Innovation Cell organized a webinar on the occasion of World Wildlife Day with the Department of Physiotherapy. World Wildlife Day celebrated on 3rd March concerns itself to create an awareness regarding the growing impact on flora and fauna of the world due to human interference and activities and explores on trying to find solutions to save it.


The topic of the webinar was Wetlands & Livelihood. Two eminent persons from various specialties shared their thoughts about the issue.


Dr. Mukesh Dixit, the session's keynote speaker, shared his critical views on Wild Life conversation and the methods to prevent issues that harm the wetlands in our country. Our country's geographical diversity is its beauty, and to preserve it, necessary steps and interventions are essential.


Dr. Mukesh Dixit is a Professor in Zoology working currently in Sarojini Naidu Girls College, Bhopal. He has presented several papers on national and international papers on Wildlife Conservation so his guidance on the said topic would prove enlightening.

Ms. Neha Bhatnagar, another famed guest, talked about the role of communities in Wetlands and livelihood. She is a wonderful speaker and an activist in wildlife conservation and wetland management. Moreover, she is also a project officer for WWF India.

The event was hosted by the Department of physiotherapy, TMU, and chaired by Dr. Manjula Jain (Associate Dean Academics and President IIC, TMU).

The program was attended by 150-200 students and faculties, namely Dr. Sheetal Malhan, Dr. Farhan Khan, Dr. Uzma Sayyad, Dr. Kriti Sachan, Dr. Asma Azam, and Dr. Ankita Saxena, Dr. Komal Nagar had attended the program.

Dr. Shivanee M. Kaul, Head Dept. of Physiotherapy, concluded the event with a vote of thanks to the speaker and congratulated everyone for the successful event.
