Orientation Session on Innovation
An orientation session on the topic of innovation was arranged for all the faculty members and the students of the college and the university at large. This orientation session was conducted online and was attended by many. The speaker for the session was an Innovation Ambassador, Prof. Deepali Kamthania, on 31/03/2021.
Teerthanker Mahaveer University's Innovation Institution Council (IIC) was the mainframe behind the organization of the online orientation session. The topic focussed on understanding the concept of innovation with an emphasis on innovation in healthcare, its key features, the different types of innovation, and how they can be embedded into the DNA of any organization for a fruitful outcome.
The Innovation Ecosystem enablers were touched upon too. The current status of Innovation in India and the government policy pertaining to it were briefly highlighted. Healthcare innovation was discussed in detail, especially the role of AI was deliberated upon along with the brief discourse on Watson Healthcare.
The session ended with an interactive question and answer round and a vote of thanks.
