MeitY Startup Hub, Government of India, has envisaged an umbrella scheme called GENESIS
(Gen-Next Support for Innovative Startups) with a budget of Rs. 490 Crores for 5 years. The
initiative aims to discover, support, grow, and accelerate successful startups in Tier-II and
Tier-III cities, focusing on collaborative engagement among startups, government, and
corporates. The scheme promotes digitization based on the principles of inclusivity,
accessibility, and affordability, leading to employment growth and economic development.
TMIF-
Teerthanker Mahaveer Innovation Foundation will implement the GENESIS scheme
on behalf of MSH. The program aims to impact and consolidate 10,000+ tech startups over
the next 5 years, strengthening the inclusive startup ecosystem.

The applicant must be an Indian citizen.
The entrepreneur must be at least 18 years old at the time of application.
The applicant must be a first-generation entrepreneur committed to working full-time on the startup.
The startup should focus on technology innovation aligned with the GENESIS scheme:
Healthcare | AI | Biotech | Agritech | Edtech | IoT | Sustainable Technologies
The startup idea must be original and should not involve duplication or plagiarism.
Must not have received external funding exceeding ₹10 lakh.
The entrepreneur must have a clear plan for utilizing the grant (prototype development, market research, etc.).
The startup should focus on driving innovation and technology in business.
The startup should foster job opportunities and create regional innovation hubs.
The startup should contribute to inclusive economic development.
The applicant must participate in mentorship programs, workshops, and EiR activities.
